Veterans and their spouses may qualify for certain benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs. Garrity and Gossage’s attorneys are VA-certified and are familiar with the benefits available, including the Improved Pension with Aid & Attendance (A&A). To qualify for A&A, a veteran must have:
- Served 90 days active duty (regardless of location);
- Served 1 day during wartime (again, regardless of location); and
- Been honorably or medically discharged.
In addition, a veteran or surviving spouse must meet certain income and asset restrictions and have recurring monthly expenses associated with assistance with activities of daily living.
After determining eligibility, Garrity & Gossage, LLP will help you complete an application for Aid & Attendance from the VA at no charge. Call us at (704) 841-0661 to schedule an appointment.
